Amblyeleotris Gobies are also known as shrimp Gobies and develop a symbiotic relationship with alpheid shrimp. The shrimp provide a home used by both the shrimp and Goby, while the Goby acts as a lookout for predators. Shrimp Gobies are hardy and make great additions to a reef aquarium. Amblyeleotris Gobies should be added to aquariums with a deep sand bed for burrowing. Ample rockwork for grazing and hiding should be provided along with a diet of marine meaty foods multiple times daily. Shrimp Gobies will also scavenge through the sand for food. Gobies are good jumpers be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight-fitting lid.
Gold Spotted Goby are also known as the Orange Spotted Shrimp Goby, shows mainly white with orange spots and black pelvic fins that run partially onto its lower body. Gold Spotted Goby can grow up to 10cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 50L or larger for this species.
