Istiblennius Meleagris
Istiblennius Blennies should be added to well established aquariums. Provide plenty of rockwork with crevices, and rocky areas. Provide a diet rich in meaty and algae-based foods several times daily. If not sufficiently fed Istiblennius may pick at corals or clam mantles. Marked differences have been seen between males and females. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight-fitting lid as Blennies may jump.
The Blue Spot Rockskipper shows pale brown to dark dusky-brown blenny with numerous small pales spots on the head and body, a series of irregular, more or less paired, broken bands (more obvious in females) along the sides and extending onto the dorsal-fin bases, oblique stripes on the dorsal fin in males, and dark spots in females. Blue Spot Blenny's can grow up to 15cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 300L or larger for this species.
