Meiacanthus Grammistes
Meiacanthus Blennies are also known as Fang Blennies and should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of swim room. Rock work should be provided for perching, hiding and grazing. Meiacanthus Blennies are considered to be easy and peaceful however, can become territorial to other fish resembling their shape. If sufficient algae isn't present supplement with algae-based foods and algae matter. Males tend to be larger than females and experience color changes during breeding. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders however the Meiacanthus genus of Blennies do not share this trait. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight-fitting lid as Blennies may jump.
The Striped Blennies are white with alternating black and yellow stripes. Striped Blenny can grow up to 13cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 130L or larger for this species.
