Hemitaurichthys Butterflyfish should be added to large well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work should be provided for grazing and hiding. Hemitaurichthys Butterflyfish are considered hardy, will generally adapt well in aquariums and should be kept with other peaceful tank mates. Hemitaurichthys Butterflyfish use their long noses to explore cracks and crevices for food and may pick at tube worms, crustaceans and clam mantles if not well fed. A diet of meaty foods including live fortified Brine and mysis shrimp and black or red worms should be provided. If not readily eating, try pressing foods into holes or crevices mimicking their natural feeding habits. Hemitaurichthys Butterflyfish are considered peaceful and be kept in groups.

The Pyramid Butterflyfish is also known as the Yellow Pyramid Butterflyfish, shows yellow and white with the white forming a pyramid in the middle of the fish's body. As the fish matures its face will begin to darken to a light brown or black colour. Pyramid Butterflyfish can grow up to 18cm in length.
