Pseudocheilinus Ocellatus
Pseudocheilinops Wrasse are small, shy and secretive fish generally found among heavy coral growth. Pseudocheilinops Wrasse should be added to a large well-established aquarium with plenty of swimroom as they are open water swimmers. Provide plenty of rockwork with cracks, caves and crevices for hiding. Pseudocheilinops can be kept with other peaceful tank mates but only 1 male per aquarium. Wrasse are hermaphrodites meaning they start as juveniles/females but at some point in their life may turn into a male. Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting-lid as they may jump.
The Mystery Wrasse are also sometimes known as the Whitebarred Wrasse. Juvenile Mystery Wrasse show a red body with horizontal thin white lines, yellow face with irregular pink stripes and a white trimmed black eyespot on its caudal peduncle. As the fish matures the white stripes may begin to fade. Mystery Wrasse can grow up to 13cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 200L or larger for this species.
