Ecsenius Midas
Ecsenius Blennies are sometimes referred to as Clown Blennies. Blennies should be added to well established aquariums. Rock work should be provided for perching, hiding and grazing. Ecsenius Blennies are considered to be easy and peaceful however, can become aggressive to other fish resembling their shape. If sufficient algae isn't present supplement with algae-based foods and algae matter. Males tend to be larger than females. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight-fitting lid as Blennies may jump.
The Midas Blenny is also known as the Persian Blenny. Midas Blennies usually have bright blue eyes, an overall orange to salmon body colouration with gold and yellow highlights. Midas Blennies can grow up to 15cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 130L or larger for this species.
