Valenciennea Longipinnis
Valenciennea Gobies are often known as Sleeper Gobies and should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work, cracks, crevices, caves with a sand bed should be provided for hiding. Valencienna are small, easy to maintain and fit well in most reef aquariums. They are a good sand sifter and will pick up mouths of sand looking for small invertebrates and organic matter. A diet of meaty and algae based foods should be provided multiple times daily. Feed adult, fortified Brine, Glass/Grass shrimp and black worms if having difficulty enticing a feeding response. Valenciennea Gobies tend to be shy and peaceful house with other peaceful tank mates. In the wild Valenciennea Gobies mate for life if possible, house as a mated pair. Provide a tight-fitting aquarium as Gobies may jump.
The Pink Spot Goby is also known as Sleeper Striped Goby, shows a pale greyish body with about five blue-edged bars extending to midside, each bar containing a large dark blotch at the bottom, two deep pink stripes on the cheek and gill cover, and paler wavy pink stripes along the back. Pink Spot Gobies can grow up to 13cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 100L or larger for this species.
