Add Common Stripey's to large aquariums with plenty of open swim room as they are fast swimmers that prefer to school. Provide plenty of rock work with an abundant amount of naturally occuring algae. Stripey's will require caves, cracks and crevices to retreat into for resting and hiding. They make a great beginner fish as they are easy to take care of and quite peaceful. Stripey's have also been found in brackish areas. Maintain with other peaceful tank mates. Offer a diet rich in meaty and algae-based foods.
Stripey's have a distinctive appearance, with a gold to silver body and black horizontal stripes. They can grow up to 15cm in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of400L or larger for this species.
