Pomacanthus Angelfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work, caves, cracks and crevices should be provided for grazing and hiding. Pomacanthus angels may pick at sponge, tunicates, benthic organisms or sessile invertebrates. A diet of meaty and algae-based foods along with Angel preperations which include sponge should be provided. Care will need to be taken when handling Angelfish as they have cheekspines, avoid using nets when handling. Pomacanthus Angelfish are hermaphroditic meaning they may have both sex organs at some point in their lives. Juvenile Pomacanthus Angelfish may exhibit colour or pattern differences. May be territorial towards other Angelfish with the same shape.

The Asfur Angelfish is also known as the Arabian or Crescent Angelfish. Both juveniles and adult Asfur Angelfish are beautiful and delightfully coloured. Juveniles are mainly blue with white or light blue stripes. Adults are mainly a dark blue colour with a darker face, yellow tail and a yellow band shaped like a wide crescent moon. Asfur Angelfish can grow up to 35cm in length.
